We are always welcomed by the lush greenery as we enter our beautiful Regina Mundi School campus. Alas! With tears in our eyes we bid a few of the trees adieu because the mighty cyclone Tauktae uprooting the beautiful trees in our campus on 16 May 2021. One of the ex pupils had moist eyes as he helped in clearing the fallen trees, recollecting how he personally watered them about 40 years ago. Most of us have fond memories of them right from the time they were planted and nurtured under the guidance and care of Br. Bede Mulligan who was a great lover of nature. We have taken shelter under them, played around them, watched basketball and football games standing under them, shared our tiffins with each other while sitting under them, taken photographs and selfies with them like old friends…the memories are aplenty. Today, they may not stand tall to greet you like before but they will forever live in our hearts and minds.
